“In DCI’s bid to bring to book all those who got involved in the gruesome murder of the late Caroline Wanjiku Maina, the investigating team yesterday arrested two more suspects at Kebuye village in Kisii County,” tweeted the DCI Kenya.
The two who were arrested include a 17-year-old teenager together with a matatu conductor after they were found with the two phones said to be stolen from the deceased.
The 38-year-old woman Caroline Wanjiku Maina was reported to have been kidnapped by unknown persons some days ago and her body was found dumped at Kajiado hospital mortuary days after she disappeared.
Doctors confirmed that the death of Ms. Maina was caused by repeated blows to the head and the fact that she had bruises on her left arm and wrists indicated that she had been tortured prior to her death.
Other suspects linked with the murder include Samwel Okoth Adinda, Edwin Otieno Odiwuor, Stevenson Oduor Ouma and Mercy Gitiri Mongo.
