Ruto returns to Nyanza in renewed vote hunt

Kenya Kwanza presidential flag bearer William Ruto is expected to wind up his 3-day tour of the Western region on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, before taking the alliance’s vote hunt to Raila Odinga’s Nyanza backyard.

In a programme seen by Inka FM, the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party leader will kick off his day with a series of rallies in Kakamega and Vihiga counties.

He is expected to make several stopovers in Sabane, Ikolomani Constituiency in Kakamega and Illungu area in Emuhaya Constituency, Vihiga County, before culminating his tour of the Western region with a major rally at Mbale Grounds.

On Wednesday at 2:00 pm, Ruto is scheduled to address Kitutu Masaba residents at Magombo market (Nyamira) before heading to Moreremi, Nyaribari Masaba Constituency, for a similar function.

The county’s second in command will hold two other rallies in Egetuki, Bomachoge Chache Constituency, and Kegonga Town, Kuria East Constituency, in Migori County before retiring to prepare for Thursday’s activities.

The DP has been to Nyamira and Migori severally.

Ruto courts Western

With only 26 days to the general election, both Ruto and Raila of the Azimio One Kenya coalition have been traversing the country in a last-minute rush to fill their vote baskets.

Yesterday, Ruto campaigned in Trans Nzoia, Bungoma and Busia counties during his second-day tour of the vote-rich Western region.
