‘It is time to deliver despite our differences’ – Gachagua tells leaders

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has urged leaders to set their political differences aside and deliver on their mandated roles.
Gachagua who was speaking during the Mashujaa celebrations held at the Uhuru gardens, on Thursday, October 20, 2022, reiterated that the leaders should now focus on delivering on their promises to Kenyans.
“I wish to congratulate all the elected leaders in the just-concluded elections and remind them that it is time to deliver,”Gachagua stated.
“Kenya is a mature democracy irrespective of our political differences. It is now time to work and deliver,” he added.
Gachagua pledges to deliver
Additionally, the former Mathira Member of Parliament (MP) maintained that he was committed to discharging his mandate roles to the people of Kenya.
While pledging his commitment, Gachagua implored Kenyans to join forces and work together for the nation’s good.
“The challenges that we face as a nation ranging from social, to economic and political belong to all of us. I call upon all Kenyans to make a contribution every day, in a simple or small way, it matters; as they say in Kiswahili, “Umoja Ni Nguvu”! That is the Philosophy of HARAMBEE!” the second-in-command added.
He further vowed to work together with his boss President William Ruto so that they deliver on their promises to Kenyans.
“President Ruto, I want to assure you of my commitment as your deputy round the clock to assist you in delivering for the people of Kenya. The challenges that we face ranging from social to economic, belong to all of us,” Gachagua added.
