Covid-19 Vaccine in Kenya

The first batch of COVID-19 vaccines arrived in Kenya at The Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, in Nairobi on Tuesday night. The 1.02 million doses were transported by UNICEF, COVAX facility.
On arrival the doses we received by senior Government officials led by the Cabinet Secretary for Health Hon Mutahi Kagwe, UNICEF Representative to Kenya Mr. Maniza Zaman and WHO Representative to Kenya Dr. Rudi Eggers.
Cabinet Secretary for Health Honarable Mutahi Kagwe said that this will be a historic day for Kenya and will mark an important milestone in the fight against Covid-19.
The Minister also added that, that was made possible through the leadership of His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta and the hardwork of the Health Ministry. He finished by congratulating the UNICEF, WHO and GAVI for the work well done and the People of Kenya for their cooperation during the time of the pandemic.
